Our  process

SIGNATURE COLLECTION

SELECTION: First, pick one of our designs from the Signature Collection. It consists of 6 pieces: invitation, mat, inner and outer envelope, rsvp card and rsvp envelope. These are semi-custom, meaning, the artwork is already done, but the rest is customizable. Keep what we’ve put together or pick your own ink and paper colors. You can add a details card, “day of” paper goods, embellishments, etc.

 

CONSULTATION & TIMELINE: Once you have filled out our online form or sent us an email, we can set up a phone call or video chat. We will discuss your semi-custom options and other add-on and do our best to answer any questions you might have. A calendar timeline and custom production schedule will be provided for your review and approval. 

 

PROPOSAL & DEPOSIT: Once your details and a timeline are established, a proposal outlining the cost of your suite and printing choices will be provided. If everything looks good to you, we will accept your signed agreement and a $350 non-refundable deposit. The deposit is credited back to your final invoice which will be provided to you before we go to press.

 

WORDING & REVISIONS: First, we will discuss wording for your invitation and other pieces. Sending us your exact text via email is especially helpful, as this will make the process go much smoother. We also have sample text to guide you in your decision if needed. The first digital proof will be emailed within 5 days after we receive all of your information, deposit and signed agreement.

It is extremely IMPORTANT for our client to proofread every piece, line by line. A maximum of 2 rounds of revisions are included, anything after that will be subject to an additional fee of $45 per revision. Although, we do our 

best to flag any errors, it is the client’s responsibility to approve and sign off on all proofs. Watercolor Design Studio will not be held responsible for any errors on any piece after that. Hopefully, you will be happy right away and we can move onto the next step!

 

APPROVAL & PRINTING: After the revision rounds and you are 100% in love with your suite, we will send you a final proof. This is the LAST chance to double check all of the wording and make sure everything looks perfect. Once you email us back your signed proof of approval and your final payment is received, no further changes can be made. We are then ready to print! Production usually takes approximately 4 weeks outlined in your custom timeline.

BESPOKE SUITES

We love to create something special from the ground up and help you tell your unique story... We will work closely with you to custom design just the right watercolor imagery, color palette and fonts to coordinate your very own original suite. As professional designers, it’s our job to turn your ideas into reality!

 

CONSULTATION & TIMELINE: Once you have filled out our online form or sent us an email, we can set up a phone call or video chat. During our consultation, we can discuss what you have had in mind for your special day. If you have a solid idea or theme already, great! If you aren’t sure yet, we can help you figure out the overall feeling you want to convey to your guests, as the invitation is often your guests first glimpse as to what’s to come. Any inspiration you have collected will come in handy at this point. Sharing your Pinterest board is our favorite platform for the design process to launch. It gives us fabulous insight as to what you are expecting. If you don’t have one, creating a board will also help you in translating your ideas into images. A calendar timeline and custom production schedule will be provided for your review and approval.

are included for all pieces, anything after that will be subject to an additional fee

of $45 per revision. Although we do our best to flag any errors, it is the client’s
